On the afternoon of June 1st, Shing-Tung Yau, an internationally renowned mathematician and Tsinghua University professor, visited Renmin University of China at the invitation of the School of Social Research. Under the theme of 'Geometry in Life, Life in Geometry,' he engaged in a dialogue with faculty and students, discussing his mathematical career. Four scholars were invited to join the round-table forum and engage in conversation with Mr. Yau from different disciplinary perspectives, exploring the multifaceted charm of his autobiography 'The Shape of a Life: One Mathematician's Search for the Universe's Hidden Geometry'.Over 200 faculty members and students from different universities participated in the communication.
